About Kimball Health Services
Since its beginnings in the mid 1900s, Kimball Health Services (KHS) has grown into a modern, efficient medical facility, serving patients and their families throughout western Nebraska, eastern Wyoming and northeastern Colorado. Though still a critical access hospital, the organization has steadily expanded its footprint to accommodate additional services and communities.

THE TOWN FORMERLY KNOWNAS ANTELOPEVILLE!
Tucked in the panhandle of Nebraska, Kimball was established in the mid-late 1800’s by the Union Pacific Railroad. Originally called “Antelopeville” after the pervasive presence of the animal in the area. What started as a little settlement of adobe shacks evolved into a booming oil town in the 1950’s and is now a cozy, comfortable town of 3,000 merchants, farmers, air force employees, and medical workers.
Things to Do
Panorama Point:
At 5,424 feet above sea level, Panorama Point is the highest point in Nebraska and quite a popular attraction. On a clear day, visitors can see the Rocky Mountains to the southwest and enjoy the prairie peacefulness of the great Nebraska Plains.
Oliver Reservoir:
Just a few miles outside the heart of the town of Kimball, the lovely Oliver Reservoir boasts delightful wildlife, biking trails, picnic shelters, waterways for fishing, swimming, and boating—and much more!
Four Winds Golf Course:
Named in honor of the breeze that cools down its golfers, this 18-hole championship course is accompanied by a driving range practice putting greens, cart and club rentals, and—of course—good times.

The mission of Kimball Public Schools is to educate every student for a lifetime of success. Mary Lynch Elementary and Kimball Jr/Sr High School educate the youth of Kimball, while the local public library offers ongoing learning opportunities to adults.
