Staff Accountant

Hybrid Remote + Allen, Texas

About the Opportunity

Aligned Providers, an innovative and rapidly growing emergency medicine and hospital contract management services group, is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and bookkeeping. This position will enter and release bills, send out invoices, as well as report and process payroll and perform other accounting duties as assigned.

This is a full-time position with flexible hours and will report to the accounting supervisor. This is a hybrid position requiring you to be in the office located in Allen, TX three days a week with the ability to work remotely the other two days.

Essential Functions

 In this position, you will help us succeed by effectively performing the following duties:

  • Coordinate accounting functions and programs to include payables and receivables
  • Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Prepare semi-monthly payroll and resolve any related issues
  • Contribute to the development of new processes and growth to the organization
  • Prepare adjusting journal entries
  • Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences
  • Enter bills for payment
  • Create invoices and confirm payments
  • Perform other accounting duties and support senior staff in the organization, as required or assigned

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position requiring you to be in the office three days a week with the ability to work remotely the other two days. In either instance, you will be utilizing computers and other office equipment. Given the nature of deadlines and finance, you may work under stressful circumstances at times.


This is an entry-level to early-career position. 0-5 years of accounting experience is required and a background in the medical industry is a plus. Experience using QuickBooks Online will also be a bonus.
